Kids help clean wheelchairs at Wauwatosa senior community

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) - Wheelchairs got a sparkling clean Wednesday during a unique event that brought together children and seniors at Lutheran Home.

As part of the community's intergenerational programming, children teamed up with residents for a wheelchair wash, complete with music, bubbles and plenty of smiles.

The event also featured custom wheelchair license plates, adding a personal touch to the freshly cleaned rides.

Organizers say activities like the wheelchair wash help build meaningful connections between generations while creating lasting memories for everyone involved.
