Kewaskum man calls police after hearing numerous gunshots, finding bullet in car

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a weapons complaint.

Deputies responded to the 8500 block of Salisbury Road in the Town of Kewaskum after a homeowner called to report hearing 5-10 gunshots while outside of his home.

The man reported seeing and hearing the back window of his car break.

The owner was able to locate a bullet, similar to a smaller caliber handgun, inside his passenger compartment.

Deputies made contact with a nearby hunter who did not have a handgun.

The investigation remains ongoing.
