KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The teen at the center of a school threat investigation in Kenosha will remain in custody, ahead of his trial in January.

The boy, who will not be named as he was charged in juvenile court, appeared in court via zoom for a hearing Thursday morning, Dec. 18.

Investigators believe he was planning to commit violence around the one-year anniversary of the mass shooting at Abundant Life Christian school in Madison.

When he was arrested in November, body camera footage shows him lunging at an officer and attempting to disarm the officer until he was wrestled to the ground.

Police confirmed it was also the same teen arrested last year for bringing an airsoft gun into a Kenosha Elementary School.

He was ordered when to serve one year in juvenile detention.

The teen's trial date is set for January 14, 2026. He's facing charges of terroristic threats, attempting to disarm and resisting arrest.
