Kenosha police officers rescue person from Lake Michigan

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Three Kenosha Police Department officers are being praised for their work after saving a person from Lake Michigan using a "Stearns Throw Bag" -- a throwable flotation.  

The police department shared the news in a Facebook post on Thursday, April 29. 

Kenosha Police Officers Kyle Morrissey, Pep Moretti and Brittni Bray were involved in the rescue. 

May is Water Safety Month. The Kenosha Police Department says they will take the month to help educate people on the dangers of Lake Michigan.
