Kenosha player holds $250,000 Powerball ticket

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One lucky Wisconsin player is holding a $250,000 winning Powerball ticket from the Saturday, September 22 Powerball drawing.

The winner matched four out of five numbers plus the Powerball. But, because they also purchased the Power Play prize multiplier feature, the $50,000 prize was automatically multiplied by five. Power Play turned the $50,000 ticket into a $250,000 winner. Saturday's winning Powerball numbers were 24, 61, 63, 64 and 69 with a Powerball of 18. The Power Play number was 5.

The lucky winner purchased their ticket at Kwik Trip at 8012 39th Avenue in Kenosha. Winners at all prize levels have 180 days from the drawing to claim their prizes.

Wisconsin retailers who sell winning tickets over $500 receive an incentive of 2 percent of the winning ticket amount up to $100,000.

The next Powerball drawing will be Wednesday, September 26. The estimated jackpot is $193 million ($112.9 million cash).
