KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An unusual Airbnb in Kenosha is shut down until the owners rebuild it or tear it down.
The owners built it along a tree in 2016 after consulting the city.
The treehouse has electricity and plumbing and features a zipline and rock climbing wall.
The owners say city officials only made it an issue after they listed it on Airbnb.
"While it was being built, we had it inspected twice by the city and they okayed it too. And last year, it being on Airbnb, that's where it was looked at and they said 'oh you need to take it down, not liveable'," said Stuart & Alina Swanson who own the treehouse.
Officials say it's not a treehouse because the main portion isn't built into the tree.
The owners can either rebuild it with a permit or take it down.
