Kenosha County opens cooling centers in preparation for upcoming heat wave

KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department is making sure people prepare for the extreme heat expected Thursday through Saturday.

They want people to stay cool, stay aware, stay hydrated, and stay informed.

Everyone is reminded to check in on family, friends, neighbors, and pets during periods of extreme heat.

The Kenosha County Division of Health will also have 20 different cooling centers open, most of them in the city of Kenosha itself.
