Keeping up The Temps A Little While Longer

Our "temperature" vacation is ending soon.  In fact, the hunters might be freezing for the start of the season.  But in the meantime, enjoy the mild readings while we have them.  We approached 60 degrees on Monday, and we're not done yet.

If we do hit at least 50 degrees today, it will be the 185th time we've continuously seen readings in the 50s (or greater) this year.  The old streak is 188 days.  It'll be close, but I think we can do it.

Actually, I'm forecasting highs in the 60s for Thursday and Friday before a strong cold front works through the region later Friday.  With the front, we'll see wind and showers.  The major fall in temps happens into Saturday behind the front, of course for the start of hunting season. It always seems to happen this way!

For the weekend, it looks like highs will struggle to hit 40.  Lows will be in the 20s.  We even have the chance for some wintry mix on Saturday.  There could even be some snow shower activity across the Northwoods.  Hunters, dress accordingly and make sure you've downloaded the free CBS58 mobile weather app to keep track of the temperatures and radar.  Also, send pictures to us.  If so, you could qualify to win an AcuRite Weather Station.  We'll pick one winner a week for the next seven weeks.
