Justice Crooks dies at State Capitol

Dane County Medical Examiner was called to the State Capitol at 2:46 PM after Justice Crooks died, according to WISC-TV.
Crooks, 77, had previously announced that he would not seek election to a third term next spring.
Crooks did not attend a state Supreme Court hearing on Friday. 
Crooks was a former Brown County judge who won his first 10-year term on the high court in 1996 and won re-election in 2006. His current term ended on July 31.
