Jelly Belly to close Pleasant Prairie warehouse

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- No business seems to be immune from the effects of the pandemic, and that includes candy companies.

The Jelly Belly candy company is closing its Pleasant Prairie store.

That includes ending the tours as well.

“We are incredibly thankful to the millions of visitors, the City of Pleasant Prairie and the surrounding communities for their hospitality over the past 20 years,” said Jelly Belly Vice President of Retail Operations, John Jamison.

Any current employees impacted will be offered positions at the factory in north Chicago.

The liquidation sale will start Aug. 3.

You can still buy your favorite Jelly Belly jelly beans or any of the company's products online at jellybelly.com.
