'Jazz in the Park' summer music series returning to Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- "Jazz in the Park," the popular free outdoor music series, is making a return to Cathedral Square Park on Thursday nights, beginning June 1.
Celebrating over 30 years, the series offers a diverse lineup of 12 acts running through Aug. 31, each starting at 5 p.m.
Eddie Sturkey, East Town Association’s executive director, joined us on Wednesday, May 31 to discuss the event’s return.
The 2023 lineup includes:
- June 1: The Group
- June 8: B.D. Greer & The Gents
- June 15: Altered Five Blues Band
- June 22: Urban Empress and The Urbanites
- June 29: Christopher’s Project
- July 6: CNJ Latin Jazz
- July 27: Bill Bonifas and Friends
- Aug. 3: Fresh Coast Jazz featuring The Jazz Men
- Aug. 10: Funk Club Wagon
- Aug. 17: Milwaukee Jazz Institute: WE SIX
- Aug. 24: Caché Mke. featuring Salsabrositas Rumba Caliente
- Aug. 31: The Kal Bergendahl Project (KBP) + “Come Together” (The Beatles Soulfully Reimagined)
