Jazz in the Park Kicks Off it's 25th Season!

Jazz in the Park returns tonight for its 25th season!

The outdoor summer concert series takes place every Thursday evening in Milwaukee's Cathedral Square Park. This year's schedule features a variety of music styles, everything from the blues and big band, to R&B and reggae.

"It started out really small, where it was just pure jazz and a few people sitting on some blankets. Now we've got food vendors down here, we've got great beverage tents, and we got all kinds of great pockets of community within the park itself so its really really grown to a huge extent," says East Town Association's Executive Director Kim Morris.

A local band, Milwaukee Soul, kicks off the series tonight. Music is from 6 to 9.
