January 3rd One of the Top Days for Online Dating

Match.com claims in a press release that January 3 will be "as close to a national holiday for single daters as you can get."

The online dating site has proclaimed January 3 the "Dating Sunday."

According to the release, Christmas to Valentine's Day is when the most new people join online dating sites. Match reports 60% spike in new singles searching for love during this period. 

Sunday is the most active day for singles logging onto dating sites. 

The release said there is a high percentage of couples that break up after New Years Eve.  And New Year's Resolutions include finding love for some.
