FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- President Donald Trump's daughter and advisor campaigned in Wisconsin on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

After touring Kinetic Co Inc., a blade manufacturing facility in nearby Greendale, Ivanka Trump made the case her father is the right candidate to lead the nation’s economy back from the pandemic at the Polish Community Center of Wisconsin in Franklin.

“The Republican Party under President Trump is the party of safe reopening, and we have to reopen. Right? We now know how to live with this virus, but we have to reopen.”

With early voting already underway in the state, Senior Trump Advisor Mercedes Schalpp, who moderated Ivanka's discussion, said the event was all about energizing grassroots support.

“Let’s get out early," Schlapp said. "Lets get our friends out early, those who support the president, to really support and get out the vote. And that’s critical for us. We don’t want to wait until the last 72 hours.”

Ivanka Trump toured Kinetic Co. Inc., a family owned company that manufactures blades.

The president's daughter told supporters her father improved Wisconsin's agricultural community during his tenure by striking the USMCA, the trade deal with Canada and Mexico replacing NAFTA. She also said students need to get back to school, and said Donald Trump is the better choice to make that happen.
