It's official this time: Brewers sign SP Garza

MILWAUKEE - After days of speculation, the Brewers finally made it official Sunday; they've signed starting pitcher Matt Garza to a four year contract worth $50 million.

Brewers owner Mark Attanasio made the announcement during Sunday's Brewers On Deck event. Attanasio says the delayed timing of the announcement was not meant to coincide with the Brewers annual event at the Wisconsin Center.

Garza's deal includes an option for a fifth year, plus $1 million in annual incentives that could drive the value of the contract as high as $67 million. Garza has a 67-67 career record.
