It's back! Popeyes Chicken Sandwich returns to long lines and excited fans

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- For two months now, Popeyes has promised to bring back its wildly popular fried chicken sandwich.

After months of waiting, the day has arrived and judging by the drive-thru line at the Popeyes on Miller Park Way -- chicken lovers had anxiously been awaiting the return.

The sandwich made its return on National Sandwich Day.

The debut also came on a Sunday -- the day that their competitor Chick-fil-A is closed.
