LOS ANGELES (CBS 58) – Milwaukee Brewers star Christian Yelich called out Manny Machado following the Brewers loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers Tuesday night.
In the tenth inning, Machado appears to hit Brewers’ first baseman Jesus Aguilar’s ankle on a groundout to shortstop.
Words were exchanged and then the benches emptied. After the game, Yelich called out Machado.
“One time is an accident, repeated over and over and over again, you’re just a dirty player,” Yelich said. “It’s a dirty play by a dirty player. It was a tough fought baseball game. It has no place in our game, it’s unacceptable and I don’t know what his problem is honestly.”
Aguilar said Machado apologized after the game.
