GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The doors are closed at what was one of the area's most enduring gathering spots -- The Silver Spring House on Green Bay Avenue in Glendale.
It was a place that traces its history back to the mid-1800s, under a variety of different names and owners.
The restaurant now has a sign on the door that says "It has been a great 42 years, thank you, but we are closed."
The Silver Spring House website makes no mention of the closing although its events calendar for February is blank.
CBS 58 News has reached out to the owner but has not heard back yet.
