Milwaukee police investigating shooting death of 5-year-old boy

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is currently investigating the shooting death of a 5-year-old boy.

It happened just after 1 a.m. Saturday in the 5300 block of N. Lovers Lane Road.

Upon arrival, officers located the boy suffering from a serious gunshot wound. Despite life-saving measures, the boy died from his injuries on scene.

According to CNN, two people were arrested at the scene of the crime.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.

The family has identified the 5-year-old boy as Jamal Anderson Jr.

A GoFundMe has been set up by the family to help with funeral and burial services.
