Influenza Associated Death of a Child Reported in Milwaukee

A child has died in the city of Milwaukee due to influenza.
City of Milwaukee Health Department confirmed the influenza-associated death of a child residing in Milwaukee.
This is first pediatric flu death reported to the Milwaukee Health Department for the 2016-2017 flu season.
“We are deeply saddened to learn that a child has died of complications related to the seasonal flu, and our thoughts remain with the child’s family,” said Commissioner of Health Bevan K. Baker.
