Ice Sculptors Compete at Winter Gallery Day and Night

CBS 58 was there as ice sculptors began digging in ahead of gallery night.

The theme of this annual competition is zoo animals.   Artists had 8 hours to saw and chisel and put the finishing touches on their designs. We loved the polar bear former champ Bob Ingebrigtson of Franklin was creating..

Bob said he considers this good practice given it will eventually melt away.

The sculptures will be on display in Catalano Square and along Broadway as part of the third ward's "Winter Gallery Night and Day" tonight and tomorrow.
