MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) --- The Arboretum Retirement Community in Menomonee Falls had a birthday celebration for a resident marking a big milestone.
Serafina Papia Peterson, who goes by the name Sarah turned 106 Wednesday, Aug. 23. Her family came to see her and sing happy birthday.
Sarah lived in Milwaukee all her life and says her parents immigrated to the city from Sicily. She retired from American Motors in 1977.
Sarah says the key to living a long life has been her love for her family and her dog, Happy.
"They take good care of me. That's what means a lot. That they love me. Everybody loves me and I love them too....and I also love my little dog," she said.
Sarah also celebrated her birthday by going to Potawatomi Casino Hotel. She says she won big and hit the jackpot for more than $1,000!
Happy Birthday, Sarah!
