I-43 West reopens at Forest Home Ave. following report of gunshots

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --The westbound lanes of I-894 were completely shut down for more than an hour this afternoon. Traffic was diverted off that freeway on 60th St. as deputies investigated reports of gunfire.

An alert from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said that a "citizen-witness reported gunshots fired from one vehicle toward another."

The westbound freeway was reopened just after 3 p.m.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A full freeway closure is underway on I-43 westbound near Forest Home Ave.

All westbound traffic is being diverted off the freeway at 60th Street while Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office investigates a report of gunshots fired from one vehicle towards another.
