Husband, wife found dead of suspected overdoses in Washington County home
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Washington County officials are investigating the fatal overdose of a 41-year-old man and his 29-year-old wife. Both were found deceased in their residence on Friday, March 10, in the town of Addison.
According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, authorities received a call from a roommate who discovered the couple dead inside the home.
Evidence located at the scene, as well as preliminary autopsy findings, suggest their deaths were both unintentional drug overdoses.
Officials found Fentanyl and cocaine in the home as well as other signs of drug use.
This is the eighth and ninth drug overdose deaths of 2023 in Washington County. Fentanyl is suspected in at least six of those deaths.
The incident remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit as well as the Washington County Sheriff Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force.
