Hurry up & Wait for The Rain

Come on Mother Nature, give us a hand.  We need the rain.  The rainfall deficit is more than six inches for the year.  And for the next few days, there's the slight chance for showers and storms.  Any of the storms could produce some heavy rain, but it won't be widespread. Perhaps a few tenths of an inch in areas, if not more.

But as it stands now, a cold front across the Upper Midwest looks to be the best opportunity for overall rain as we work into Thursday night.

Meantime, look for the warmest day of the week to be on Thursday for the start of the State Fair.  With the humidity, it'll feel like 95 degrees (or more.)

Drier air quickly moves into the region by Friday afternoon and sets up shop for the entire weekend.  And then storm chances increase once again early next week.

This is why you need our CBS58 weather app right by your side when you're on the go, like the State Fair starting on Thursday.
