MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hunger Task Force is hosting its first voucher distribution events of the season for the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program.
Sherrie Tussler, Executive Director of Hunger Task Force, provided details regarding the program when she joined us live on Thursday, July 6.
The first distribution event is on Friday, July 7, at the Abundant Faith Church of Integrity on 7830 W. Good Hope Road in Milwaukee, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Seniors can obtain $35 in vouchers for eligible food items or opt for a Harvest Box containing locally sourced produce.
Eligible seniors must be residents of Milwaukee County, aged 60 or older, or 55 for American Indians.
Another distribution event is scheduled for Thursday, July 13, at the Wilson Park Senior Center.
