MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The snow didn't stop Hunger Task Force from helping out local seniors Tuesday.
"They count on it each month, to receive the box to help them through the month with having food," said Director of Senior Services Rick Lewandowski. "They know they can rely on us. We're here rain, shine or snow."
Every month, the organization gives out these stock boxes to provide extra help to those 60 and older.
The boxes are filled with supplemental items like cereal, milk, cheese, canned fruits and vegetables.
Over 100 low-income seniors stopped by Tuesday to get their free box - a sight Hunger Task Force says shows just how needed the boxes are.
