Hundreds stage demonstration outside TKE house nearUW-Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE-It began organically, with young women in Milwaukee wanting to take a stand against what they call a \"culture of rape\" on college campuses.

Many are students at UW-Milwaukee which recently shut down a fraternity house after a huge party where some students had to be hospitalized and feared something was slipped into their drinks.

University officials say they are still investigating. They shut down the TKE house and the president of the fraternity was charged with drug possession.

The Thursday protest started at Riverwest Park. Hundreds then walked through the streets, chanting the whole time and then gathered in front the TKE house.

So far, there is no evidence of a date rape drug being used at the house.

There are also no allegations of sex assault related to the party.

Still, the concerned demonstrators say there are too many who think it's alright to have sex with a person who is clearly impaired or drunk.

There have been several campus safety events as students return for the fall semester.

Crime experts say the first 15 weeks of college can be the most dangerous when it comes to date rape.
