Human trafficking suspect arrested in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH -- Plymouth police arrested a 25-year-old human trafficking suspect following a standoff outside a home on N. Milwaukee St. Two others were arrested on outstanding warrants from Milwaukee.


We're told officers came across an African-American woman wandering the streets of Plymouth. Police believed this woman may have been a human trafficking victim. Officers were able to determine what residence she escaped from.


Officers were informed there was a man at this residence with a felony warrant for his arrest. They were also told the man was from Milwaukee and may be armed.


Police arrived at the residence around 7:00 a.m. When officers tried to make contact with the occupants, several tried to flee the home. They retreated back inside the home once they realized the building was surrounded by police.


Shortly after 10:00 a.m., police arrested a 24-year-old Milwaukee man for human trafficking. They also arrested a 25-year-old Milwaukee man on an unrelated burglary warrant from Milwaukee. A 16-year-old girl was also arrested on an unrelated juvenile warrant out of Milwaukee.
