MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An epidemic of addition meets a pandemic of coronavirus with devastating consequences.
For those battling opioid addiction, the stress and social isolation brought on by the coronavirus pandemic is often too much to handle. Overdose deaths are skyrocketing across the nation.
The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) is urging people to dispose of unwanted or expired prescription drugs.
Some of the nation's top pharmacists share with CBS Morning News on what you can do to prevent your pills from getting into the wrong hands. Tim Fensky and Al Carter serve as the president and executive director of the NABP.
