MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The House of Harley-Davidson is giving a boost to high school students who want to pursue an education at a local technical college.
The “Full Throttle Technical College Boost” is an annual scholarship fund. The company will award two graduating high school seniors with a $1,000 scholarship to be used at any campus of Gateway Technical College or Milwaukee Area Technical College.
The students must be enrolled for the Fall 2018 semester.
A panel will select two recipients – one from a Milwaukee County high school and one from a Racine County high school. The scholarships will be awarded on June 29.
Requirements for applicants:
• Must be a graduating senior from a high school in either Milwaukee County or Racine County
• Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Submit a 500-word essay addressing two questions: "Why you have chosen to pursue a career in a Technical Field?" and "How do you plan to apply your degree to better the community you live in?"
• Submit a copy of final high school transcripts and the finished essay to: [email protected]
