Milwaukee family’s holiday tradition of giving lives on
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As inflation continues to impact grocery stores, basketball fans preparing for March Madness parties may worry about the financial strain.
However, Terry Bruner and Kevin Doonan of Famous Dave's joined us on Wednesday, March 22 to offer advice for hosting a memorable feast without breaking the bank.
They recommend starting with a simple entrée, such as chicken strips or traditional wings, to keep costs low. To further save, avoid purchasing plastic silverware and opt for finger foods like wings, cheese curds or barbecue nachos.
Another cost-saving tip is to throw a potluck where guests share the financial burden by bringing a dish. Bruner and Doonan suggest becoming the "Most Valuable Guest" by bringing Famous Dave's Baby Back Ribs, which are back on the menu and seasoned with their signature smoker rib rub.
Finally, Bruner and Doonan suggest making the event BYOB, allowing guests to bring their preferred drinks, alleviating the host's beverage expenses.
