Homicide investigation underway near Lasalle and English Street in Racine

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A homicide investigation is underway in the city of Racine Tuesday, Aug. 24.

Police responded to the area of Lasalle Street and English Street around 2:31 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

Law enforcement located a 44-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Officers attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was later pronounced deceased at an area hospital.
