Woman arrested in connection to fatal shooting near 24th and Burleigh

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A homicide investigation is underway near 24th and Burleigh following a fatal shooting Wednesday, March 31.

Milwaukee police say a 35-year-old Milwaukee man was shot around 1:20 a.m. He was taken to a local hospital for a serious injury.

Police say a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested in connection to this incident.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner said they are investigating the overnight homicide of a 35-year-old male in the 3100 block of North 25th Street.

Officials say the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the upcoming days.
