Homeless Sex Offender is Being Released into Waukesha County

A homeless sex offender is being released into Waukesha County on Tuesday, June 6.

The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department and the City of Waukesha Police Department have been working with the Department of Corrections-Probation and Parole Office regarding the anticipated release of Rickie Nickerson to the community. 

Nickerson’s conviction was in 2001 for the repeated sexual assault of a male child.  This offense was committed against a two-year-old who was residing in the same residence. 

Nickerson has no permanent residence at this time and upon release he will be taken to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department for face-to-face registration. 

Nickerson will be a lifetime sex offender registrant and also on GPS monitoring.  If he violates the terms of his lifetime registry or GPS conditions, he will be taken back into custody.          

Nickerson is not wanted by police.
