MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee organization once again made sure that homeless people had someplace to spend the 4th of July.
This was the fifth annual Peaceful Picnic for homeless and at-risk people. They held the event just outside the MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary on 25th and Center.
It turned out to be a beautiful day for a picnic and the organizers were all smiles, "Totally non-violent, drug-free, alcohol-free, for people with no place to go, all ages and we're doing it here and we're happy to do it,” said Sister MacCanon Brown.
