Holy Hill: Must See Stop This Time of Year

It's about a half hour's car ride from Milwaukee but worth every minute.  Holy Hill.  This location in Washington County is known for its tranquil retreats and stunning views.  And this is the time to go see it firsthand, especially when it comes to the fall foliage.  I's just about at peek.  And the place to take advantage of the viewing is at  the Holy Hill National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians."  More specifically up the 178 stairs to the top of the steeple.  Hundreds of thousands of visitors make the pilgrimage annually for a breath taking experience.

if you're heading to see this exquisite spot, make sure to allow a little extra time to go to the holy hill art farm just a quarter mile from the church off Highway 167.  

This weekend will be the Big Art And Farm Market event.  It runs both Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 4. Here you'll find a collection of art, food, music, and antiques. This is the third and last time this year they'll do this event.
