MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)-- Thousands of people are hitting the road and heading to the airport for the holidays.
On Friday, more than 10,000 people are expected at Mitchell International Airport. Officials say another 10,000 will travel through the airport on Saturday. One passenger offers advice to those traveling this holiday season.
“Make sure you’re prepared for the wait and the lines,” Heather Riggs said. “Everywhere outside was busy, downstairs was busy, so I’d plan ahead.”
According to AAA, nearly 6.5 million people nationwide will travel by air through January 1.
