Holiday Travel Outlook Now Through Black Friday Across the Nation

NOW: Holiday Travel Outlook Now Through Black Friday Across the Nation
NEXT:

We are being treated to some tame turkey weather the next couple of days, locally and for much of the lower forty-eight. Here's a snapshot as of 1pm this afternoon.

Wet weather is moving off the East coast and more is starting to evolve over the Pacific northwest. In time that mix to our west will bring some hefty mountain snow for elevations over 6000'... otherwise a quiet Nation for travel today through Thanksgiving. At this time there are no major delays across the larger airports for the U.S. and that trend will continue for a few days.

Closer to home we have tons of sun back overhead. A quiet stretch of weather is expected for our area with a seasonable Thanksgiving expected. The average high for this holiday floats in the low 40s. Take a look at recent years:

This is what you can plan for coming up:

After a typical weather day for the holiday we also find a cold front dropping in from the northwest that will give our wind a turn back to the north. In time you can see we cool back to the 30s for highs. While we look mostly cloudy Saturday we should stay dry. Sunday will bring light snow with model data dropping up to a half inch of snow.

One more thing I want to leave you with is sunset times coming up.

In two week we actually meet up with our earliest sunsets of the year. Three weeks from today we already turn the corner on those earliest sunsets.

Have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving!!
