Heightened Security for Reopening of Fire House 13 in Milwaukee

The busiest fire engine company in Wisconsin is back open for business.

Fire Station 13 at 30th and Locust in Milwaukee reopened Wednesday morning with heightened security after somebody used it for target practice last week.

Battalion Chief Dan Lipski tells CBS 58's Julie Parise that morale is high.

Even though the case is unsolved.

"The members are excited to be here," Lipski said. "Everyone that's in this building picks to be here, wants to be here, wants to serve. They have a drive to be there and they believe this is the best place in the country to do it."

Lipski says firefighters who were here at the time of the shooting received peer counseling to make sure they were ready to come back to work.

Nobody was hurt.

Shell casings were found across the street.

At last report, there had been no arrests.
