MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Time for your favorite red clothes! Dr. Joy Lincoln from Children's Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin joined us Friday, Feb. 6 to talk about National Wear Red Day and cardiovascular health awareness.
Cardiovascular disease is the leading killer of women, but only 44% of women know it's their top cause of death, according to the American Heart Association. Nearly 45% of women over age 20 are living with some form of cardiovascular disease.
Women are also 23% less likely than men to survive sudden cardiac arrest, the association says.
