Health department supplying cleanup kits for those impacted from historic flooding

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Health Department is continuing their flood relief efforts in our area.
After fully distributing their initial supply of cleanup kits, the organization on Thursday, Aug. 21 handed out their second shipment at the Salvation Army location on Villard Avenue in Milwaukee.
The kits include items like soap, towels, face masks, and more essential cleaning items for families that are tasked with cleaning their homes after the flooding.
"A lot of people don't have another place to go, and so this is why we need to get the cleaning kits out, this is why we need to find other ways to support families in the long haul because as you said this is 10 days out. We're gonna be 10 days from now, 20 days from now, there's gonna be families still working on this so it's a long road together for the city," said Tyler Weber, Milwaukee Health Department.
Distribution of the cleanup kits runs 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22 and then 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23.
