The Brewers Clubhouse Sale returns Friday and Saturday
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Dozens of family and friends gathered Sunday to remember a Milwaukee soldier who recently died while serving overseas.
36-year-old Staff Sergeant Krasean Clayborn was found dead in his barracks in Italy on Friday.
Clayborn enlisted in the Army in 2003 and joined the 173rd Airborne Brigade in 2016. He was a career counselor and a recipient of the Army Commendation Medal and the Achievement Medal.
Clayborn’s mother told CBS 58 about the last time she spoke with her son.
“He wasn’t feeling well. He FaceTimed. We talked every day,” Demetreia McCollum said. “He was laying down and said he didn’t feel well, so I told him, you know, well go to the hospital. Then that next morning we had found out that he had passed.”
Sgt. Clayborn was also a well-known military D.J. known as DJ Legend. The Army said there were no signs of foul play. An investigation into Clayborn's death is underway.
