Local financial pro offers tips for sticking to a holiday budget
WAUKESHA (CBS 58)--Times are tough for so many of us, including our family pets in some cases. But the "Humane Animal Welfare Society," or HAWS of Waukesha, along with PetSmart Charities, is here to help. Just recently, the "open admissions shelter" decided to take it on the road with a pet pantry popping up at different locations in Waukesha County, offering various free pet supplies, including food and toys, for those who need the assistance. Organizers say every little bit helps, especially during this pandemic when money tends to be stretched thin.
On Tuesday, at 1:30 in the afternoon, the "Big Little Pet Pantry" will make an appearance at the Oconomowoc Food Bank. HAWS is always taking donations as well. To learn more about what this non-profit does or if you're interested in submitting your animal in the shelter's holiday pet photo competition for some big prizes, just click here.
HAWS, by the way, is located at 701 Northview Road in Waukesha. The number is 262-542-8851
