WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Animal lovers in Waukesha got a behind the scenes look at HAWS Friday night.
The Humane Animal Welfare Society hosted their "happy hour" event.
It's an adoption drive with some Westallion beer and special food.
Twisted Plants food truck served up some great eats. The hope was to get at least 20 animals into forever homes.
"They really love our facility," said community cat coordinator Jessica Rogalla. "They think that we have a really clean and inviting facility, and they've never been to an event like this, so it's really bringing in a lot of clientele that maybe would never step foot in a shelter before."
At least one person was taking their forever pet home when we got there.
We're told a kitten got a new home in the first few hours.
