'Have you heard about the lonesome loser?': Little River Band playing Milwaukee's Pabst Theater

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Little River Band is set to bring classic rock to the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee.

Known for a string of chart-topping hits in the '70s and '80s, Little River Band continues to be celebrated for its melodies and vocal stylings, a trait that once prompted the late Glenn Frey, founding member of The Eagles, to call them "the best singing band in the world."

The band will take the stage on Saturday, Oct. 14, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the show commencing at 7:30 p.m.

Little River Band boasts a series of hits, including “Cool Change,” “The Night Owls,” "Happy Anniversary,” “Reminiscing,” “Lonesome Loser,” “Take It Easy on Me,” “Help Is on Its Way,” “We Two,” “Man on Your Mind,” “The Other Guy” and "It’s a Long Way There."

These hits helped to generate more than 35 million worldwide album sales, CD sales and digital downloads.

The band also set a record as the first to achieve Top 10 hits for six consecutive years. Additionally, two of their songs, “Reminiscing” and “Lady,” reached impressive airplay milestones, with more than 5 million and 4 million airplays respectively on American radio, according to BMI.

Tickets will be available for purchase starting Monday, June 12, at 10 a.m. at PabstTheaterGroup.com, with a presale beginning on Thursday, June 8 at noon available by using the password FLAG.
