UPDATE: BB or pellet gun responsible for broken car windows in Hartford

HARTFORD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Hartford Police say the damage to cars was done with a BB or pellet gun.

Police are still investigating and are asking for any tips or additional information to be called into 262-673-2600.

A cash reward has been recommended for information that leads to an arrest. The tips can remain anonymous.

HARTFORD, Wis. (CBS 58) – Hartford Police are warning neighbors after they say they’ve received 19 reports of smashed windows over the last few days.

In a post on the department’s Facebook page, police say no thefts have been associated with the broken windows. Investigators say most of the incidents have occurred south of Highway 60, north of Monroe Avenue, and west of Main Street, however, there have been other incidents scattered throughout the city.

They’re asking anyone who may have information or video surveillance related to the property damage to call police at 262-673-2600.
