Harley reintroduces Road Glide for 2015, recalls 2014 Dyna Low Rider bikes

MILWAUKEE -- Harley Davidson announced the Road Glide is back for 2015 after a year hiatus. But it comes on the same day as a big recall on Low Rider bikes.

The 2015 Road Glide bike was introduced Friday morning at the Harley Davidson museum in Milwaukee.  The bike is a fan favorite for many.

It was on the shelf as engineers and designers worked last year to revamp it.

Harley used input from riders to make any of the changes and updates.

Some of the new features include a GPS system, new headlamps, and a touch screen sound system.

The bike will be  featured at the famous Sturgis Motorcycle rally starting tomorrow through next weekend.  People can test ride the bike there. One long-time harley rider is excited about the new road glide.

\"I love the bike,\" Harley rider Lee McAndrew said.  \"It's beautiful. I've owned road glides in the past and I was very disappointed when they took them out of production last year. Now we'll see what the customizers do, they're going to have a blast with this.\"

This release comes the same day as Harley goes through a recall on more than 3,000 2014 FXDL Dyna Low Rider bikes.  It has some ignition switch problems.  Anyone with that bike is urged to contact their dealer immediately for a repair.
