Harley-Davidson Museum revs up for summer fun with concert series, upcoming exhibit
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Harley-Davidson Museum is revving into fun this summer.
"It's just starting to kick into sixth gear here at the Harley-Davidson Museum," Harley-Davidson Museum Public Relations/Project Manager Tim McCormick said.
Starting June 17, you can visit a new exhibit all about the Mama-Tried Motorcycle Show.
"The exhibit is bringing in 13 custom bikes that you might see if you were to go to a Mama-Tried show," Harley-Davidson Museum Exhibits Curator David Kreidler said.
"There's going to be all manners of modifications. Those are going to be anything from bikes that have really been done up, that have really been worked on, to vintage bikes that have been restored."
Before the new exhibit opens, you can stop by the museum to honor your mama.
"This weekend, we're excited to celebrate all things mom, with special free admission for her at the Harley-Davidson Museum, specials at the shop where she can get some of her gear altered there for free, and then the brunch at MOTOR Bar and Restaurant with bottomless mimosas, or as we're calling them, 'mom-osas,'" McCormick said.
Every Thursday until September, you can enjoy free live music at the museum during its Bike Night concert series.
"No matter what you're rolling up on, if it's your motorcycle if you want to come in, your car, your bike, we've had people with their four-legged friends come join us for all the fun," McCormick explained.
In July, Harley-Davidson will celebrate its 120th anniversary with the launch of Harley-Davidson Homecoming, an annual four-day festival filled with music, food, and moto-culture. The inaugural event will be from July 13-16.
"It's a feeling like no other when Milwaukee is the center of the motorcycle universe like this," McCormick said.
The Harley-Davidson Museum is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit their website.
