MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Harley-Davidson Museum is abuzz with activity in June, featuring a new exhibit and a host of events, including a celebration for Father's Day. To discuss more about what's in store, Tim McCormick of the museum joined us on Friday, June 16.
"Mama Tried: Bringing it Together," an exhibit set to open on Saturday, June 17, explores the community of bike builders, racers and fans who gather for the annual winter showcase. The exhibit hosts a selection of vintage and custom motorcycles, including a rare 1929 FHAC with FLXI Sidecar Factory Racer.
On Father's Day, Sunday, June 18, dads and grandads will be given free admission to the museum, and a complimentary grilled brat or hot dog meal with the purchase of a beverage in a day that will also feature games and stunt shows.
For vintage bike enthusiasts, the "Wild Ones: Vintage Motorcycle Rally" will take place on Saturday, June 24, showcasing a 1940s-style motorcycle rally, including antique motorcycle ride-in show and bike races, with proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin.
All of this is getting the stage set for Harley's 120th anniversary and homecoming festival, taking place July 13 - 16.
